I love being a Parragon Book Buddy and receiving a new book every month is exciting for both myself and my daughter Sylvia. We love to read together and eagerly await our monthly delivery to see what’s in store.
For October I was really excited to open the mail and find Professor Murphy’s Metal Puzzles. The reason why, my husband loves logic and challenging puzzles and I saw this as an opportunity for Sylvia to spend some quality time having fun with her dad.
As shown on the picture, Professor Murphy’s Metal Puzzles is fun of brain busting teasers to challenge children, to get them thinking and problem solving. the book comes with a set of six metal trinkets which Sylvia had to work out how to separate and then join them back together.
It wasn’t as simple as it looked but with perseverance Sylvia took on each challenge solving the puzzles and completing each task.
I have to admit, I wasn’t sure if my daughter would be interested in this activity as it’s not really my type of thing, however she loved it and really did feel a sense of achievement after completing all six metal puzzles.
Sylvia then went on to do the tasks in the book. She completed these activities with her dad and together they solved the additional challenges in the puzzle book.
Professor Murphy’s Metal Puzzles are at the perfect age level for my daughter in terms of difficulty. The book and trinkets went down a treat and created a fun filled evening for Sylvia and her dad.
This book/activity retails at around £6.99 and can be purchased in a number of stores including Amazon.
Thanks Parragon for a fantastic book and activity to test out.
